  • November 5th - November 23rd, 2008 - 'Skin of the land (Boodja Ngoorl)' - Lindsay Harris. Following on from his previous two highly successful exhibitions, this contemporary Nyoongar artist's dynamic work will show why he was short-listed for the prestigious 25th Telstra National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Indigenous Art Award 2008 and has just won the Town of Vincent Art Award 2008
  • May 20th - June 5th, 2009 - 'My Country My Place' - Moira Macumboy (Lockhart River Art Community) QLD. The first solo exhibition in Australia of this highly collectable artist who has already shown in group exhibitions in Italy and the United States. Moira's quietly confident use of line and a restrained but powerful colour palette explore the themes of water and bush life in and around Lockhart River, 850km north of Cairns. Showing simultaneously is the group exhibition 'New Works from Lockhart River' featuring new paintings by Adrian King in his signature naive style, artist/acclaimed dancer Josiah Omeenyo's fluid and lyrical work, the small-scale renditions of the swamps and swimming holes of the community by Irene Namok (mother of Rosella Namok) and Elizabeth 'Queenie' Giblet's vibrant paintings of the head and arm bands associated with dance in the area.

November 25th - December 13th, 2009 'cream 02' - Kathryn Haug In December 2007 emerge ART SPACE initiated the 'cream' award for an outstanding final year tertiary arts graduate and the 2008 recipient was Kathryn Haug, a painter and graduate of Curtin University. The 'cream 02' exhibition (her first solo) is the culmination of this award and will showcase Kathryn's luscious paintings, using her signature thickly applied gestural paint depictions of humble everyday domestic objects and memories of a blissful rural childhood. Using economy of line Kathryn effortlessly conveys complex objects with a unique 'liveliness'.

November 4th - November 20th, 2009 'The Affordable/Collectable Lockhart River Show'

October 14th - October 30th, 2009 'Zoo One Eleven' - Sharon Dawes Following on from her very successful first solo exhibition 'Colonial Animal' (June 2008) artist Sharon Dawes presents 'Zoo One Eleven' , an exploration into the opening of Perth Zoo in 1898. Using a 'Transcript of an Article in the West Australian' dated Monday 17th October 1898 Dawes re-creates the foundation animals of the zoo, in her own unique style.

September 9th - September 25th, 2009 'THEN AND NOW' - Felicity Sivewright The second solo exhibition featuring Felicity's signature exquisitely worked and highly detailed paintings with recurring motifs and patterns.

August 12th - August 30th, 2009 'From Mesopotamia' - Ayad Alqaragholli. A solo exhibition of new bronze sculptures by Iraq-born artist Ayad Alqaragholli.

July 22nd - August 7th, 2009 'My Mind is the Sky | My Body is the Sea'- Jonah Cacioppe. A collection of new paintings and prints exploring the interdependence of nature and humanity.

April 29th - May 15th, 2009 'OBJECTIFY' - A group exhibition of intriguing and diverse three-dimensional works. Featuring the sculptures of Thomas Heidt, Pierre Capponi and Daniel Iley, new southern ice porcelain vessels by ceramicist Alana McVeigh, jewellery by up-and-coming jewellers Kim Wong and Justin Linney, Katrina Virgona's textile a works, glass forms by Denise Pepper and bronze sculptures by Ayad Alqaragholli.

March 25th - April 9th, 2009 'Tunnelled Vision' - Gigi Hesterman. A solo exhibition of new paintings in which Gigi explores ideas relating to 'progress, direction and concentrated intent'. Using images based on recognisable Perth scapes, these paintings reflect on 'Racing through life on the path of progress. Focused on the road ahead. Lacking the time and energy to attend to the surrounds. Determined to reach an unclear destination with undue haste. Adopting a tunnelled vision.'

March 4th - March 20th, 2009 'Vespers' - Francesco Villicich. Vespers: A time of the day when evening falls A sacred moment for prayers An intimate search for clarity. This is a luminous exhibition of new paintings by Italian born artist Francesco Villicich. His seventh solo, following many group and solo shows in Europe. This new body of work strives to capture the incandescence, emotion, movement and energy of nature, blurring the edges between representation and abstraction.

February 4th - February 22nd, 2009 'Story-Places' - Susie Pascoe (Lockhart River Art Community QLD) The first solo exhibition in Australia by Aboriginal artist Susie Pascoe from the acclaimed Lockhart River Art Community, Cape York Peninsula, far northern Queensland.

November 26th - December 14th, 2008 'cream 01' - Thomas Heidt. This is sculptor Thomas Heidt's first solo show as the inaugural recipient of the emerge ART SPACE 'cream' award for an outstanding tertiary institution arts graduate.
